Qualifications:
Experience in school or industrial custodial services, preferred; Experience in floor maintenance, preferred; Excellent attendance and attitude; Self-starter; and Requires minimal supervision to perform responsibilities Performance
Responsibilities:
Under regular supervision, performs a variety of basic custodial and grounds tasks in order to provide a clean and safe environment for students and school personnel.
Essential Functions:
1.
Performs a variety of custodial functions.
2.
Cleaning restrooms, hallways, classrooms, offices and other areas.
3.
Removing trash, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing, waxing, stripping floors.
4.
Cleaning windows and walls, moving furniture, dusting, restocking.
5.
Set up rooms for special events.
6.
Responds to emergency calls in buildings when necessary.
7.
Operates a variety of equipment which may include a floor buffer, carpet cleaner, vacuum, sweeper, and other cleaning equipment.
8.
Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals.
9.
Unlocks/secures building and rooms.
13.
Clean up in the event of illness of student or employee.
14.
Demonstrates safety in job performance.
15.
Interacts with co-workers, supervisors, students, teachers and the general public in a friendly, professional manner.
16.
Basic knowledge of technology and be able to perform minimum computer skills.
17.
Performs related duties as required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Performs light maintenance duties, including changing light tubes, moving furniture, changing HVAC filters, unlocks/secures building and rooms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment, including a telephone and cleaning equipment.
Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Physical demands are in excess of those of sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, climb, balance and perform manual tasks.
Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to visually see areas that need cleaning and distinguish between acceptably clean and unclean.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
